DOT continually impresses its customers with individual solutions for telematics and GPS tracking systems. Its patented X-Rayl system has been rolled out all across Europe, selling over 80.000 durable, solar powered and easy-to-use telematic systems.

2025
Release of additional application driven Use Cases such as the Hand Brake Watcher for preventing wheel damage during towing and enhanced pressure sensor capable of measuring up to 30 bar for CO2 monitoring.
Finalisation of the Hatch and Valve Use Case with S3ATT-D precision increased to 0.1 degrees.
Completion of the mobile version of DOT Link 4.0 providing full system functionality without requiring an app download.

Release of several new high use value Use Cases including advanced brake wear monitoring, adaptive shock configuration along all axes and Pay Per Use functionality enabling utilisation-based service models.
Introduction of Version 2 of the King Pin Solution allowing installation by mobile teams in the field.

We're thrilled to announce the release of the DOT-Link 4.0, a culmination of hard work, innovation, and dedication.
This major overhaul provides stronger performance, new features, and a fresh user interface.
We achieved a huge surge in the amount of our active devices, growing from 50.000 to 80.000.
Our facility's size has increased drastically, soaring from 280m² to an expansive 1.200m².
Prioritizing employee well-being, we've introduced new amenities such as vibrant creative spaces, in-house showers, and spacious kitchen / dining areas, further promoting a conducive and inspiring work environment.
Driven by our commitment to sustainability, we integrated a 140 kWh LiFePO4 battery to store energy harvested from our advanced 178 kWp photo voltaic plant, ensuring progressivley green practices, while still contributing to the public power grid.

Certification of the Sensor S3 for the highest ATEX, UKCA and IECEx standards.
2020
Development of Sensor S3 (based on Bluetooth Low Energy) which, as a platform is now capable of distance, temperature, pressure, attitude, vibration, acceleration Hi G and acceleration Low G.
All our S3 devices were certified ATEX und IECEx (IIC T6 Gb).
2019
Enhanced ATEX Certification for X-Rayl Pointer S2.

Joined as a member of ITSS.
Development of the Sensor Box (IEEE 802.15.4, 2,4GHz) for temperatures up to 260°C, tilt, humidity, derailment, loading status and laser ranging.

A new milestone: Over 1000 X-Rayl Pointer in use.
Development of new Series 17M Pointer with almost three times more energy and better positioning precision.

Extension of the ATEX Certification (ATEX 94/9/EC) of the X-Rayl Solar Pointers to Zone 1 and Zone 21.

Deployment of the DOT-Link portal, including features such as Geofencing for numerous customers and a Map-Matching System for Eye-contact Analysis for the advertising industry.

Opening of the new operation site connected to a solar power plant in Leobendorf, Lower Austria.
2011
The X-Rayl mileage meter ODO2 is fully developed and records wagons' travelled distances with an accuracy of 99.8%.
2005
A patent is granted on the solar-energy powered GPS positioning device “X-Rayl® Pointer”.
2004
The German railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB) places the first substantial order for X-Rayl. The quality and state of the GSM-R network are recorded in a position-dependent manner.
2003
Philipp Tarter dreams of offering innovative, ground-breaking telematics solutions but finds the market lacking flexible and functional products. He decides to found DOT-Telematik GmbH in order to be able to develop and produce solutions himself.
