The X-Rayl® Sensor S3MEP-D is a contact sensor, developed to detect the presence of ferromagnetic metals. Its main functionality is as an affordable and easy-to-install “King Pin” observation tool.

The maximum detection distance is 5mm for ferrous metals and can be increased to 20mm by employing neodymium magnets (NdFeB) on the detected surface.

The X-Rayl® Sensor S3MEP-D is equipped with a super-low-power TFT-LCD Panel, which allows for easy evaluation of the contact state. From monitoring door states to assessing the lock state of a King Pin - the use cases for the S3MEP-D sensor are numerous.

Since the sensor is certified according to the highest ATEX standard available on the market today, it is possible to use the sensor even in sensitive conditions such as the transport of chemicals.
